About Jane

After raising four children while working in the corporate world, Jane felt a deep longing to create. That calling eventually led her to the vibrant world of pastels. Taking a chance on this new passion, she rediscovered her voice through nature's quiet beauty.

Jane's work is inspired by the peaceful moments found in the natural world, from soft light across a landscape to the stillness of open fields, water, and expansive skies. She is especially drawn to the calming presence of water and the ever-changing colors of the sky, elements that often find their way into her work.

Jane creates to bring a sense of peace to herself and to others. Through layered color and expressive texture, her pastel paintings offer a gentle invitation to slow down and reflect. In a fast-paced world, she hopes her art provides a quiet place where the eyes and spirit can rest, reminding viewers of the calm and beauty that nature offers.

Fun Fact: After moving to the Lowcountry, Jane rediscovered her love of art later in life and quickly fell in love with the rich colors of pastel as a way to capture the quiet beauty of nature.
